One of the most popular summer festivals in Europe!

This is the 17th anniversary of the Sziget, held on the beautiful Obudai island in Budapest. The new festival structure that was "launched" in 2008 will be continued in 2009, therefore the main program is held from Wednesday - Monday again. Visitors can officially enter the island on Saturday again, but you will be charged an extra camping fee of 10,- Euro per person / day if you already arrive on Saturday or Sunday (payable in cash when entering the island!).

The festival "camping ticket" is valid from Monday and the "non-camping ticket" is valid from Wednesday. On Tuesday there will be one concert on main stage just like last year, and finally on Wednesday afternoon the main program is launched on all stages. Everybody is yet excited to get the first confirmed names in the line-up! Apart from the different bands, one thing is for sure and will not change: the relaxed and tolerant atmosphere on the whole festival island, which is known and loved by anyone who was there already.

The entire festival offers visitors an array of music, fun & entertainment, sports, shows, tattooing and piercing, shops, open-air movies theater, cyber-places, and dance clubs that guarantees you won’t have one boring moment. Enjoy the international top-acts and pure party fun as well as the low prices for food and drinks. You simply have to come and check it out by yourself.

Please note: The Mixery Festival Train had to be cancelled since we did not reach the minimum passenger capacity at the optional date we set for booking the train. Therefore we will offer bus trips to the festival.

Attention: From 1st July Hungary is increasing its VAT up 5 % to 25%. This also effects on the ticket prices for Sziget-Festival:

Ticket price until 30th June 2009:
festival tickets including camping for 180,- Euro each (festival entrance possible Monday 08/10/09)
festival tickets without camping for 150,- Euro each (festival entrance possible Wednesday 08/12/09)
caravan-camping ticket for 120,- each

Ticket price from 1st July 2009:
festival tickets including camping for 188,- Euro each (festival entrance possible Monday 08/10/09)
festival tickets without camping for 156,- Euro each (festival entrance possible Wednesday 08/12/09)
caravan-camping ticket for 125,- each
